Originally from the Adelaide Hills, Joel relocated to the Yorke Peninsula in 2018 and commenced working as part of the Mildwaters Byrth Lawyers & Conveyancers team.

Since his admission, Joel has had experience in a broad range of legal matters, including Wills and Estate, family law, personal injury and general litigation.

With a special interest in farm succession planning, Joel assists farming families in ensuring a smooth and secure transfer of their agricultural enterprise to the next generation. Recognising the importance of preserving family legacies and the complexities involved, Joel provides tailored legal solutions to protect assets and maintain family harmony.

Joel is Principal of Mildwaters Byrth Lawyers & Conveyancers.

In his spare time, Joel has provided support for those who are less fortunate in a number of ways including acting as a support worker in Vietnam and working as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Red Cross and St Vincent de Paul.

Joel is married to Jessica and they recently entered the realm of parenthood following the birth of Isla. At this time of life, Joel’s main focus is his young family and in part, this has sustained his interest in good coffee.

He enjoys watching cricket, football and has been known to extend himself to running a marathon. He is also quite partial to an occasional game of squash.
