Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Laws & Legal Practice (Honours) from Flinders University in 2007, completing her final-year placement at Treloar & Treloar Solicitors, a specialist deceased estates and estate litigation firm in Adelaide.

Although Kate chose not to pursue a career in legal practice at that time, she went on to build extensive experience in senior administrative roles within the higher education sector over 13 years, working at both the University of South Australia and The University of Adelaide.

Prior to joining Mildwaters Byrth, Kate was part of the team at Germein Reed Lawyers for three years (2023 to 2026). She commenced as a Law Clerk, supporting the legal team with the preparation of farm leases, drafting Wills and estate planning documentation, and undertaking general administrative duties. At the beginning of 2025, she transitioned into the role of Estates Clerk, further developing her expertise in estate administration.

Kate is passionate about making a meaningful and positive contribution in every role she undertakes. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, she takes pride in delivering high-quality work and genuinely enjoys the collaborative side of the job, working closely with both colleagues and clients to get the best result.

Born and raised in Adelaide, Kate now lives on the family farm in Bute with her partner and their two young children, along with their Golden Retriever and several pet chickens. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, caravanning holidays, and walking.
