Kylie Mildwaters
Kylie was born and raised on a farm on the Yorke Peninsula and so she has a special understanding of the culture and needs of people living in the area and in the country generally. She also has a unique appreciation of the issues faced by the farming community.
Kylie is passionate about the practice of law and providing exceptional service to all her clients. She has a particular passion and aptitude for Wills and Estates and has extensive experience in both simple and complex matters in each of these areas. In addition, she has a specific interest in matters involving farming as well as in helping people plan for their retirement and assisting the aged.
As well as her legal qualifications, Kylie has a Commerce Degree which involved study in taxation, accounting, economics and business. This background serves her and her clients well as it gives her a proper understanding of commercial and business matters.
Kylie has been a lawyer for 28 years, is Principal of Mildwaters Byrth Lawyers & Conveyancers, and has had experience in almost all areas of law. She has an extensive knowledge of the law and if she doesn’t know the answer to a legal question then she knows someone that does.
In addition to her passion for legal practice, Kylie believes strongly in giving back to the community which is, in part, an outworking of her Christian faith. Some of Kylie’s community work includes:
- Being a member of the Board of Uniting Care – Copper Coast, which is an organisation that helps people in disadvantaged circumstances in the Copper Coast region.
- Running the Christmas food hamper program on behalf of UnitingCare Copper Coast every year.
- Being a board member of Community Care and Transport Inc based at Minlaton.
Kylie is married to Darren and they have four daughters – Isabel, Olivia, Lucy and Ruby. Her personal interests include travel, theatre, reading and spending time with her family. Her favourite indulgence on a Sunday afternoon is freshly ground coffee, chocolate and a good book.
