Tanya began her legal career in her home town of Naracoorte at age 17.  In that role, she received training in various aspects of the law together with the workings of a busy country practice.

Tanya then moved to Adelaide when she was 25 and continued to work in legal administrative roles.  Her hard work and dedication paid off resulting in a promotion to a personal assistant role to partners of a law firm.

Over the years, Tanya has enjoyed working in both small and large legal practices and has relished the opportunities and challenges that have presented themselves in a variety of firms.

It was during her time in Adelaide that she attained her Certificate IV in Business.

When Tanya’s husband, Nigel, was offered an employment position in Kadina, they felt it was a good time to return to the country life and settled themselves in the Copper Coast in 2013.

After spending some time away from the legal industry and establishing her community connections again, Tanya saw a position advertised at Mildwaters Byrth Lawyers & Conveyancers and felt it was a great opportunity to re-enter the field that she had always enjoyed, loved, and been challenged by.

Tanya began as a Law Clerk at Mildwaters Byrth Lawyers & Conveyancers in February 2021 and found it great to be back in a busy, vibrant, and progressive law firm.

Outside of work, Tanya is generally at the gym working on her powerlifting, enjoying a coffee, and spending time at home. She enjoys heading to the city or the Barossa for a weekend away and returning to the Yorke Peninsula for the relaxed lifestyle.
